The holidays, when family members are likely to be home, are a good time to discuss plans with your college senior, or finishing-up graduate student...re: college graduation.... like how many graduation tickets will you be receiving, whether or not any grandparents will be coming, where everyone will be staying, and how you will get all that stuff home, or to where ever your student is going next.

This year, and unfortunately for families, Catholic, American, Howard, Trinity, and Marymount Universities all have their graduations scheduled for about the same time...unfortunately because the university graduations coincide with National Police Week, 2012, which means that May 10 - May 16, the DC area will be filled to the gills, hotels will be tight, hotel rates higher than usual, restaurants jammed, more vehicles than usual, because of all the police cars and motor cycles, and National Police Week events around the Mall and Cap Hill...
